Adult Safeguarding Training Session
23rd and 24th October at 6:30pm start via zoom. – Participants must be able to attend both sessions.
The training is suitable for Clergy and Volunteers – who have regular and/or direct contact with adults at risk as a leader or coordinator of adult activities (e.g., lunch clubs, SPRED, Bereavement groups). The training will raise awareness of risk of harm in adulthood and assist those working with adults at risk to achieve best practice.
The training covers the following:
- legal and policy context
- values and principles
- key definitions
- categories of abuse and possible indicators
- procedures for reporting concerns
- code of behaviour
- planning and managing activities
- risk management
- confidentiality issues
- creating a safe person-centered environment
